About the Evergreen Solar Radiation Database

Global solar radiation data are collected using an Eppley Laboratory precision spectral pyranometer model PSP. The pyranometer is located on the roof of Lab Building II at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington (47º04'20" N by 122º58'44" W). It was installed in January of 2001 by Dr. Jim Stroh et. al. The system is maintained by the Scientific Computing staff working out of the Computer Applications Lab.

If this is your first time accessing the database you may want to review a complete description of the instruments and methods used to collect and store the data.

More Options:

Basic Search
Returns all data for a range of dates you specify.

Advanced Search
Returns only the fields you select based on conditional search criteria. For example, Which days in 1999 had a maximum temperature greater than 20 deg C?

Summary Search
Performs an average and sum over a period and interval you specify. For example, What was total solar radiation for each week in June 2001?
