If you would like the time of your workstation or instrument to be
automatically sycronized to Kokanee you need to run client software
that supports the Network Time Protocol (RFC-1305). Free and for charge clients are available on the internet. Most Unix and Linux workstations include NTPd. The MacOS versions 8.5 and above also include a NTP client. The following software downloads and links are provided as a convience to our users. Newer versions may be available and you are encouraged to check with the original authors or distributors. The Evergreen State College and TESC Scientific Computing make no claims about the suitability of this software for any purpose.
NetTime for Windows 95/98/NT/2000 More information about NTP can be obtained from various sources on the internet including the National Institute of Standards and Technology Time and Frequency Division , the United States Naval Observatory and the NTP Home Page. This service is only available to clients on the Evergreen Campus network. |
